Military Funeral Held for Immigration Officer Destiny Tangela Casey Cooper
On Thursday, February 12, the military funeral service for Immigration Officer II, Destiny Tangela Casey Cooper was held at Christ Community Church on Bellot Road.
In attendance were the Minister of Immigration and National Insurance, the Hon. Alfred Sears; the Minister of Housing and Urban Renewal and former Minister of Immigration, the Hon. Keith Bell; Permanent Secretary Ellison Greenslade; Under Secretary Sharon Pratt-Rolle; Acting Director of Immigration Sean Gordon; along with Assistant Directors of Immigration, senior and junior officers and members of staff.
During the service, Acting Director Sean Gordon delivered brief remarks, paying tribute to Officer Cooper’s life, dedication, and contributions to the Department. Officer Cooper passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026.
Interment followed at Woodlawn Gardens Cemetery on Soldier Road.
