IMMIGRATION PERMIT FEES

    1. For a Permanent Residence certificate for —
      1. a person other than a person specified in Items 2 to 6 $15,000
      2. a person previously endorsed on the certificate as a spouse and is now widowed $3,000
      3. a person previously endorsed on his parent’s Permanent Residence certificate $3,000
    2. The Permanent Residence certificate for a person who resided in the country for a least 10 and less than 20 years and who holds a work visa in any of the scales 4 to 7 hereunder and is not a teacher or employed by the Government of The Bahamas as a nurse, policeman or prison overseer $10,000
    3. For a Permanent Residence certificate for a person who has resided in the country for at least 10 and less than 20 years and who holds or previously held a work visa as a teacher in scale 7 hereunder, including a teacher engaged by a religious or charitable organization or by the Government of the Bahamas, or a permit in scales 9 to 11, who was previously employed by the Government of The Bahamas as a nurse, policeman or prison overseer or as a non-professionally certified government contracted worker $3,000
    4. For a Permanent Residence certificate for a person who has resided in the country for at least 20 years and who holds or previously held a work visa—
      1. in scales 5 to 8 $2,000
      2. in scales 9 to 11 or as a teacher in scale 7, including a teacher engaged by a religious or charitable organization $1,000
      3. as a professionally certified government contracted officer including a doctor employed by the Government of the Bahamas $1,000

      1. For a Permanent Residence certificate for a person who resided in the country for at least 20 years and who is employed or was previously employed by the Government
        of The Bahamas as a teacher, nurse, policeman or prison overseer or as a non-professionally certified government contracted worker $1,000
      2. For a Permanent Residence certificate for a person to whom section 7 of the Bahamas Nationality Act applies (not including a person referred to in the Proviso to that section) $50
      3. For an Economic Permanent Residence Certificate granted under 17A of the Act with the right to engage in gainful occupation in his own business $25,000
      4. For an Economic Permanent Residence Certificate granted pursuant to Section 17A of the Act without the right to engage in gainful occupation. $20,000

    1. For a Permanent Residence certificate for a person who resided in the country for at least 20 years and who works as a priest, minister of religion, missionary or a member of a
      cloistered order $1,000

    1. For a permanent residence certificate
      1. for the spouse of surviving spouse section 14 of the Act $1,000
      2. in any other case $5000


    1. For a permanent residence certificate
      1. with the right to engage in gainful employment for a person born outside of The Bahamas to a married Bahamian mother or father $500
      2. with the right to engage in gainful employment for a person born outside The Bahamas whose mother or father acquire citizenship by virtue of Article 3(2) of the Constitution $1,000

    1. For each endorsement under section 16 of a permanent residence certificate $300
    2. For a duplicate of any certificate $300
    3. For a duplicate of a permit $300
    4. For processing application for permits and certificates $200
    5. For expedited processing of application in 14 days of receipt$400
    6. Subject to paragraphs 11, 12, 13 and 14, for a residence permit for any person for each year or any part thereof $3,000
    7. For a residence permit for a dependent for each year or part thereof $300
    8. For a residence permit for the spouse of a Bahamian citizen for each year or any part thereof $300
    9. For a residence permit for a child of the spouse of a Bahamian citizen for each year or any part thereof $300
    10. For a residence permit for a person attending an institution of higher learning in The Bahamas on a full-time basis or as a trainee, on the certification to that effect of the Minister
      responsible for education for each year or any part thereof $300

    1. Subject to paragraphs 16, 17 and 18, for a work visa for any person holding an occupation specified in the scales hereunder —
      1. for each period of one year or any part thereof exceeding eleven months the fees set forth in respect of that occupation in such scale;
      2. for a period not exceeding one month one fifty-second of such fees per week or part thereof
      3. for a period exceeding one month but not exceeding eleven months one-twelfth of such fees per month or part thereof.

    1. For a work visa for a person employed by any religious or educational or charitable organization or engaged in a short term film production approved by the Minister of Tourism such organization or film production being designated by the Board in writing for the purpose of this paragraph, in respect of an occupation so designated Nil
    2. For a work visa for a person engaged in gainful occupation on board a passenger ship Nil

    1. For a permit granted pursuant to section 30(2) and (3) of the Act for the spouse of a Bahamian citizen for —
      1. each year $300
      2. for five years $1500

    1. For a general worker permit for a person previously married to a Bahamian citizen and who has children of the marriage $300

    1. For a resident belonger permit issued pursuant to section 30A of the Act to—
      1. a person born in The Bahamas to non-Bahamian parents who is entitled to apply for registration as a citizen of The Bahamas under Article 7 of the Constitution and who is residing permanently in The Bahamas at the time the application is made $300
      2. a person born outside The Bahamas to a Bahamian mother who is married to a non-Bahamian father $300
      3. a person born outside The Bahamas to a Bahamian father who is a citizen of The Bahamas by virtue of Article 3(2) or Article 8 of the Constitution and who is married to a non-Bahamian $300

  1. For a residence permit for a person who has held work permits for 20 years and is now retired in the Bahamas $250
  2. For a residence permit for parents who are dependents of persons lawfully in The Bahamas $250
  3. For a BH-1B Visa $3,000
  4. For a BH-4S Visa $750
