Minister of Health Dr. The Hon. Duane Sands accompanied by Mr. Marco Rolle– Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health; Dr. Bartlett-Physician in charge of Public Health; Dr. Delon Brennen– Deputy Chief Medical Officer; and Ms. Charlene Bain-Administrator of Community Health Services held a meeting at the Department of Immigration, Hawkins Hill. In attendance were Bahamas Customs, Immigration, Public Health Officials, RBPF officers and other stakeholders at the Lynden Pindling International Airport and Family Island Ports via video conference call. The purpose of the meeting was to give an update of the country’s plan as it relates to the new COVID-19 (Coronavirus); speak to the role of stakeholders; and outline the protocol regarding the virus. The interactive session also gave all an opportunity to ask pertinent questions as it relates to their respective agencies.
