On February 28, the Department of Immigration officially launched the Immigration Connect: City Pop-Up series at Christie Park, Nassau Street, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the Minister of Immigration and National Insurance, the Hon. Alfred Sears. Joining him for the ceremony were Acting Permanent Secretary Sharon Pratt-Rolle, Acting Director Rudolph Ferguson, and Superintendent Shemah Saunders-Darling, marking the beginning of a successful event series.

This exciting initiative brought essential immigration services directly to the community, providing attendees with opportunities for application status checks, eligibility assessments, online portal assistance, and one-on-one support. The event was a great success, attracting residents, local business owners, and stakeholders eager to engage with the department and access vital services.

Minister Sears announced that the Immigration Connect pop-ups will continue every Friday throughout March, with upcoming events across various locations in New Providence and the Family Islands.

Stay tuned for more updates on upcoming dates and locations, and join us as we work to make immigration services more accessible to all!
