Department of Immigration Pays Tribute to Female Staff at Mother’s Day Extravaganza
On Friday, May 9, female staff gathered to celebrate Mother’s Day at the Mother’s Day Extravaganza, hosted by the Public Relations, Chaplaincy, and Social & Welfare units. The event was held at the Malcolm Park Beach Soccer Stadium and served as a tribute to the many roles women play both in the workplace and in their families. Acting Director Mr. Rudolph Ferguson delivered remarks, commending the invaluable contributions of female staff: “Whether in front-line roles or behind the scenes, on the Family Islands or here in the capital — your contributions extend far beyond the confines of our offices and checkpoints.”
Among those in attendance were Deputy Permanent Secretary Ordette Wells-Simms, Chaplain Sharon Farrington-Rolle and First Assistance Secretary Sigrid Bain. This event highlighted the department’s continued commitment to employee appreciation and the recognition of the vital role women play in in the organization.
