Re-Entry Permit - Bahamas Immigration Department

The Re-Entry Permit is a temporary travel document issued to residents who have submitted renewal applications for their long-term immigration status but have not yet received a decision. This document allows eligible individuals to travel outside The Bahamas and re-enter the country legally while their renewal is being processed.
Residents may apply if they have a valid passport (with at least six months’ validity) and prior legal status in The Bahamas. To apply, complete the Re-Entry Permit Application Form and submit it in-office, along with a formal request letter addressed to the Director of Immigration, your passport, and a copy of your travel itinerary.
Please note that the Re-Entry Permit is issued per person and is valid for a single re-entry only. No additional fee is required, and the application must be submitted in office.
