On Thursday, December 19, Her Excellency Yan Jiarong, the new Chinese Ambassador, hosted an informal dinner where she welcomed Director of Immigration William Pratt and his team. The event facilitated introductions and discussions about relations between The Bahamas and China.

In attendance were H.E. Yan Jiarong, Mr. Cui Wei (Counsellor and Deputy Chief of Mission), Mrs. Liu Yi (Head of Political and Press Affairs), and Mr. Jin Xiaoxiang (Consular Official). Representing the Department of Immigration were Director Pratt, Assistant Directors Peter Joseph and Stewart Curtis, and Senior Immigration Officer Daina Burrows, emphasizing the shared commitment to fostering diplomatic collaboration.
